A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

The truth is that when I started this university semester, I didn´t like any subject. But when I started going to classes of “sociological theory II” I realized that I was very interested in the content of the class and how the teacher explained. In class the teacher usually exposes with a power point and goes telling the subject in a narrative way, he is also always availing to answer questions but the most interesting is that he always uses examples of the quotidian life so that as a course we can better understand his subject.
The main contents that we have seen are the different theories from which society can be explained in sociology. In the content studied we can recognize an author who has been central in the course, his name is Parsons. He speaks from macro theories, but that is precisely why there are other sociologists who criticize him and propose other theories. This is why we have also studied the sociologists opposed to Parsons and their theories.
I like this subject because shows us what is the reason for the actions and the most minimal behaviors of people.

The post of today is very important for me, because justly today we talked about what is the road to become in a doctor in social work. My teacher of “Epistemology of social sciences” said to the class that in our discipline, you can make a doctorate only before you are thirty two years, if you want to be granted a scholarship. For this I think that maybe could be interesting make a doctorate related with psychology, because I really believe that to make changes and transformation trough social work, first is necessary to study the people with the elements of psychology. In definitely I think that mix these two disciplines is relevant to make a good work in society. Really I would love study outside of Chile, because exist other countries that have more opportunities to the young people to study doctorate. My favorite TV series

Today, I am going to talk about a very different topic (considering all the previous topics).   I mean to the TV series that I have watched for two months ago, the name of this TV series is “Gossip girl”. I began to watched this TV series because my little sister (Martina) said me “Javi, this is the best TV series of the world, you should watch it”.
