My favourite piece of technology: I think one of the things that I consider is the most interesting technology is “Skype”. I have this application on my computer for about five years. I use Skype because most of my family lives in Punta Arenas (south of Chile) so seeing them trought the camera makes me feel closer. Skype I occupy it whenever I miss my family or for important dates (birthdays, christmas, new year and celebrations). I really like Skype because ir manages to unite people despite the physical distance and it is also an aplicattion without monetary cost, which allows the majority to access this. I think that without Skype in our lives, we could not be present an important moments of our family, where although it is through a camera the love and emotions go beyond the distance.

When I was a little girl, my dream was to study Veterinary, because I love all animals, but above all I like cats. Nevertheless at the moment of applying to university all my options were humanist careers, for example Sociology, Psychology and Political Sciences. When it was time to choose, I thought what I really wanted to do to contribute to the world, and for that, I chose the career of social work, because I feel this is mine way to contribute to the transformations that I want in the world. My experience at the university until now it has not been very good, even many times I think in “freeze”. The kind of job I would like to have in the future is in the SENAME, with all the children who feel abandoned.

My name is Javiera Valentina Barrientos Muñoz. I was born in Santiago of Chile, on May 31, 1999. My family is conformed for five persons, my mom, my dad and my two sisters (Florencia and martina). When I was three years enter to study to “Jardín Arlequín” and here I stay until the six years approximately. After that I enter in the Instituto Miguel Leon Prado and here I was stay for twelve years. In this place I passed the best time of my life, learned the things more important for life, knew people very important for me, for example my boyfriend and my best friend of life. And now I study in the University of Chile (this is my first time studing at university) and I chose the career of Social Work. Today I don´t have many hobbies, but sometimes I like sing or dance with my two sisters. Nevertheless I consider that actually the thing more interesting for me is go to the mall or watch netflix with my boyfiend.
